Advanced Supervision for Therapeutic Settings

A one-day training for those engaged in supervision of staff engaged in therapeutic work with children in a residential setting.  The programme is designed to introduce attendees to some psychodynamic principles that can support the supervisory task.   Attendees will also develop skills in understanding and addressing the affects of vicarious trauma and anxiety associated with this work.

 

Course content includes:

 

·       Management, Leadership and Alignment to a Vision

 

·       Relationship, Challenge and Jeopardy

 

·       Projection and Containment in Supervisory Relationships

 

·       Transference & Countertransference in Supervisory Relationships
